Chicago DUI Guilty Plea for Acclaimed News Broadcaster Walter Jacobson

Yesterday, Walter Jacobson, acclaimed Chicago News Broadcaster, appeared in court and pled guilty to his Chicago DUI stemming from his arrest last summer.

We can confirm that Mr. Jacobson was arrested on 18 June," Chicago Police News Affairs Sgt. Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti said Thursday.

Jacobson was arrested just after 11 p.m. in the 2100 block of North Cleveland Avenue on a DUI charge, Ursitti said.

He received court supervision as many people do who either plead guilty or are found guilty of DUI.

This was not his first Chicago DUI arrest.  He was previously charged back in 2004, but the DUI was dismissed and he pled guilty to the charge of negligent driving, a non-jailable city ordinance.
