An Elkhart police officer has resigned and pleaded guilty to drunken driving and criminal recklessness for crashing his police car while carrying four other people.The 38-year-old Kruszynski was arrested late Sunday after he crashed his squad car into two fences and a tree while he was off duty. Authorities allege he was driving faster than 100 mph with four passengers in the car. No injuries were reported.
If law enforcement officers can't manage to avoid DUI accidents, is the solution really going to be zero tolerance for everyone when it comes to drinking and driving?
